| Famous for: | The singing postman is commemorated as a local historian, a huge part of the WHLG, and a lifelong Windsorian. As can be seen below, significantly contributed to Windlesora. He worked with the Labour Party, engaging in Trade Union activities, and went on to serve as both Councillor and Alderman. In 1947, the year Windsor experienced its most severe flooding in modern times, he became the town’s first Labour Mayor. He was also head of the local British Legion. |
