Members who are in the Forces
A number of new members joined Eton Excelsior Rowing Club last season, enabling activities to be kept up, it was reported at the annual general meeting at the club premises on Tuesday, the Captain, Mr. V. H. Hobbs, presiding.
The annual report showed that eight-oar races were held against Beaumont College and the Imperial Service College. Rowing members of the Windsor County Boys’ School, Latymer School and the R.A.S.C. were given facilities as last year, and an inter-club four race was arranged between them and the Club. The president kindly presented some “pots” which the County boys won. Marlow R.C. organized a Rag regatta, a number of members attended and the afternoon’s sport was very enjoyable. The R.A.S.C. had some races with other Army units, organized by Mr. V. H. Hobbs, the small regatta proving very successful.

The report was adopted and the Hon. Secretary thanked for his work.
The Hon. Treasurer presented a general balance sheet. There was a balance of £113, of which £100 had been invested in defence bonds; the boathouse fund was in a very healthy state. The balance sheet was adopted.
Election of Officers
The following officers were elected: President, Mr. A. H. Dyson: Captain, Mr. V. H. Hobbs: vice-presidents, en bloc with the exception of the late Mr. F. Wilkinson Deputy-Captain, Mr. A. G. Horlock, with thanks to Pilot-officer V. A. C. Wood for his work in the carly part of last year in that office; Vice-Captain. Mr. F. W. Buck; Hon. Treasurer, Mr. A. Bellringer; Hon. Secretary, Mr. C. D. Dyson; Assistant Hon. Secretary. Mr. J. K. Radnor: Hon. Auditors, Messrs. A. H. Dyson and T. H. Powers; Committee: Messrs. H. A. Baker, G. W. Bayley, T. Jones, J. W. Tull, F. L. P. Webb, Pilot-Officer V. A. C. Wood, Mr. V. D. Smith, with power to co-opt.
Mr. A. BELLRINGER drew attention to the big youth movement coming into operation all over the country and spoke of the desire of the Culb to encourage youth to take up rowing.
Sympathy was expressed with the President, Mr. A. H. Dyson, who is ill, and a letter is to be sent to him, expressing sympathy and the thanks of the Club for sending presents for three Christmases to all members with the Forces.
