Eton Excelsior R.C.
The Eton Excelsior sent two crews to Reading Regatta on Saturday, and in both events their representatives were narrowly beaten. In the Junior Senior Eights Kensington R.C. defeated Eton by a couple of feet in the first heat and went on to win the race, while in the Maiden Fours the Excelsior were knocked out by Maidenhead R.C. in the first heat and this crew went on to win the race. It was bad luck for both crews to get beaten by a few feet by the ultimate winners. On Saturday, the Excelsior are engaged at Walton Regatta in the Junior Senior Eights.
