Richmond Regatta
The Eton Excelsior Rowing Club sent a Junior-Senior Eight to the Richmond Regatta on Saturday.
In the 1st heat they beat Mortlake R.C. by three-quarters of a length, but in the final lost to Twickenham R.C. by three-quarters of a length.
JUNIOR-SENIOR EIGHTS.—Final Heat.—Twickenham R.C. (D. T. Campbell (bow), R. D. Were, G. S. Beare, C. M. Humphreys, P. F. Welland, A. E. Liversidge, I. W. S. A. Rogers, W. E. Drew (str.) and C. Kent (cox)), 1; Eton Excelsior R.C. (F. A. Gurney (bow), V. H. Hobbs, A. U. Shiach, J. B. Powell, J. B. Frampton, D. A. Bond, F. W. Buck, L. Barrett (str.), and L. H. Dismore (cox)), 2. After a level start Twickenham gradually obtained a slight lead. They resisted a determined spurt by Eton Excelsior and won by three-quarters of a length, in 3min. 40sec.
Reading Regatta
On Saturday the Club is sending two crews to the Reading Regatta.
