Research Tip

A really useful tip for anyone exploring local or family history.

Windsor Library offers free access to Ancestry on its public computers — simply log in using your library card number and PIN, then select the red “Online Resources” shortcut on the desktop to get started.

From there, you can browse census records, birth certificates, and more. Each session allows up to two hours of access per day, so it’s well worth arriving with a list of names or dates you’d like to research.

With several public computers available in the Library, it’s an accessible and valuable resource for anyone researching Windsor’s past or their own family connections.

Why not visit the Thames Room in the Library to find out more? Or ask one of the helpful Library staff?
