Herne's Oak, built in the second half of the 1850s by Venus Britannia Hearn (née Stocker) of Clewer Fields, lost its licence in 1908 and became a general store for many years; now Care Computers.

Coach and Horses
Lasted almost a century in Oxford Road, which at one time had a plethora of beer houses. Just two families ran it during that time.
Bachelors’ Arms
First recorded in 1846 but probably earlier, it was one of many public houses close to Victoria Barracks in Victoria Street. Since replaced with offices.
Duke of Connaught
Designed specifically as a public house, for many years it struggled to get the necessary licences. Today, it is a popular pub with excellent beer, food and entertainment.
Adam & Eve
Being next door to the Windsor Theatre Royal., it was frequented by actors and theatre-goers for many years. Now a Thai restaurant.
Man of Kent
An unusually named Victorian public house in Clewer New Town, it came and went with the original Clewer New Town, which was also demolished in the 1960s for modern housing
Duke of Edinburgh
Built by Sir Daniel Gooch, of Clewer Park, a famous Victorian engineer. Lasted a century and was the last of the Watney's pubs in Windsor.
Swan
An 18th-century coaching inn, rebuilt in the 1860s, that is now owned by the local community.
