Eton Excelsior and the War
To the EDITOR of the EXPRESS (5th October 1939)
SIR. Your news items under “Twenty-five, Fifty and a Hundred Years Ago” are always interesting reading, but never more so to the members of the Eton Excelsior Rowing Club than last week’s news under the heading of “Twenty-five Years Ago“.
It is gratifying to note that practically all those whose names appeared came safely through the last war.
Perhaps, as a matter of interest, you will insert the names of the present members who are serving in this war:
