Eton Excelsior’s Crews to Row at Walton Tomorrow
The Eton Excelsior Rowing Club are sending two crews to Walton Regatta, which takes place tomorrow (Saturday). The crews are as follows:—
- Junior Eight.—W. A. Wood (bow), J. H. Frampton (2), H. W. Nichols (3), E. B. Thompson (4), D. A. Bond (5), J. R. Powell (6), F. W. Buck (7), L. Barrett (stroke), L. H. Dismore (cox.).
- Junior Eight.—R. H. Stubbs (bow), H. J. Hughes (2), C. L. Dean (3), A. R. Nixon (4), A. Sharratt (5), D. S. Harrison (6), A. R. Verney (7), J. N. Macket (stroke), J. M. Waller (cox.).
The Club is fortunate in obtaining the services of Mr. F. R. Derry as coach this year, and the crews have shown marked improvement.
Through the courtesy of the Windsor Castle authorities, training has been carried on on the Datchet reach, and has proved very beneficial.
