Home Club’s Fine Race
From A SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT.
A strong wind blowing downstream proved helpful to the crews competing at the Eton Excelsior Rowing Club Regatta. The entries were larger this year, particularly in maiden fours and junior fours. The Eton College boathouse was again loaned for the occasion. Though defeated in the Ruthven Challenge Cup final, the Eton Excelsior crew rowed a great race in the heat, beating Maidenhead R.C. by three feet on the last stroke. Details of finals:-
