Eton Action hosts an annual community fair on Eton College’s grounds, where students and staff organize games, stalls, and performances to raise funds for five selected charities. Eton Action, an independent charity established by Etonians, aims to foster social responsibility and support charitable activities. Outside organizations, mainly charities, are also invited to set up stalls and fundraise. The fair attracts thousands of visitors from the surrounding areas and generates significant funds, which are pooled and allocated to various charitable projects chosen by the Eton community.

A huge thanks to our volunteers for all their work on the day. Leslie, Susie, and Jane to name but three. Here are some photos of them and our stall.

And here are some photos of the lovely people who came and visited us, either with questions or to buy some of our merchandise. It was really nice to meet so many people who were interested in local history.

Eton Action Fair 2024
We were blessed with some good weather. A HUGE thanks to all visitors to our stand who bought our merchandise, regaled us with interesting stories, and posed some seriously tough questions for us to answer. It was a thoroughly enjoyable, yet tiring, day. Also, thanks to our volunteers who came out in force to set up the stand and then “man it” for the duration of the Fair.

Eton Action Fair 2023
On Saturday 16th September, the 50th Eton Action Fair raised over £30,000 for their five nominated Eton Action charities. Over 3,000 visitors attended the fair, with local families from Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead visiting. All funds raised from ticket sales, pitch fees and pupils’ stalls went to the charities chosen by pupils at Eton College:

We had a stall selling our books, Windlesoras, and other materials. Members had volunteered to “man” the stand, answer questions and sell our paraphernalia. It was a very successful and enjoyable day, one we are sure to repeat.
Thanks to our members who volunteered for the day: Susy, Neena and Jane for setting up and to all our stall holders: Susy, Jane, Neena, Brigitte, Geoff & Fiona, Chris and Anne.
